I hope you and your families are well.
As you know, the language programmes for kids were conceived in 2004 for my nephew, Alex, who used to spend all summer holidays with me in Luxembourg. I really wanted Alex to improve his language skills by playing and having fun with other kids, because I was convinced that this would be a great strength for his future. Meanwhile it was a fantastic way for him to spend the school holidays, make new friends and have fun…
Today, Alex is more than 25 years old and perfectly fluent in English, French and German. Even though he has no longer participated in our language programmes, I continued to offer the programmes for children and teenagers. Because I really love their energy. And also because of my passion for education and languages.
However, our main customers have always been corporate. The courses for their collaborators are offered at their companies’ premises. In this context, keeping our school’s building in Merl has been a big investment for us; especially because we welcome children in our school only during the school holidays, on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon or on Saturday morning. Since the lockdown, families started to contemplate the possibility of virtual courses, even though many of them continue to prefer the human contact with the teacher in the comfort and privacy of their homes.
For all these reasons, we made the decision that, as of the 1st October 2020, Languages.lu will no longer be located in Merl, our house since April 2006. We will move to a co-working space and will continue to serve you the best we can. Ines Chretien will become your key contact person as I am slowly preparing for other challenges in 2021.
This summer we will provide one last time our language camps in our school in Merl.
Because we are limiting the number of participants to 6 per group, we would love to give you priority. It is our way of thanking you for your trust.
Should you wish to take advantage of our language camps one last time, please let us know as soon as possible.
